D.I.Y Lime Egg White Mask Tutorial!
Combining Both lime and Egg Whites will not just help brighten skin, reduce acne recurrence/ scars and tighten skin it will also help remove white/blackheads. Lime will help loosen both white/ blackheads whilst the Egg whites will help extract them. Tissue paper used as part of the face mask will also help extract white/ blackheads and any dead skin cells. To make this more effective I will be providing a couple of techniques this unique face mask will bring to your gorgeous face!
Firstly you will need these ingredients and equipment!
Egg Whites
lime
Tissue
Scissors
2 small bowls
A whisk
Small brush
Step 1:
First apply lime juice on clean face with a brush, this will help loosen white/ blackheads and create a stickier surface during the process when extracting the mask. I also found it helped applying the lime juice first instead of mixing with the egg whites as I found lime juice works best when concentrated. Apply the lime juice on face with a brush and wait to dry.
Step 2:
Whisk Egg Whites this is to make sure the consistency is more firm and sticky to ensure better extraction and well… a cleaner job. Whisk until white, frothy and fluffy then apply the egg whites on face with a clean brush.
Step 3:
Apply 1- ply tissue paper if 2- ply make sure to separate them on top of wet lime egg white on the face and then brush more egg whites on top of the tissue once placed on the face. 1-ply tissue will help tissue embed its self around small place e.g. around the nostril area to get at those sneaky white/ black heads hiding and those hard to get places as well as sink into pores more effectively. This is to ensure when extracting the mask your face is getting the detox it deserves. Continue around the face excluding eye and lip area. Use scissors to cut out size/ shapes of tissue paper to fit around areas of your face.
Step 4:
Wait for the make to dry it usually take around 30 minutes. Once the mask has dried peel off upwards and wash off any residue.
And TADA!!! Glowing, Fabulous skin.
Additional Information:
I recommend you do this mask once a fortnight and for those with sensitive skin lime may be a bit harsh for the skin, so I would try diluting the lime juice with some water.
